I transcode, ingest and organize various media.  I also prepare sequences for audio finishing, as well as overcut and uprez sequences.  I sync feature reels. I select soundbites and b-roll for clients, and create logs for my selections.  I also re-edit audio and video in sequences as requested by clients.

I prepared sequences for color correction. I transcoded media. I backed up projects on LTO tapes and hard drives. I maintained organization of media within the company server.

I downloaded, uploaded and transcoded media. I also maintained organization of media within the company server. I connected audio stems to sequences, and I added burn-ins. I recorded voiceovers and ADR. I set up fiber communications, and handled e-mail correspondence between the company and studios.

I am also in charge of media storage/back-up.  I quality-control check cuts. I upload and distribute cuts to network executives.  I created and currently maintain a hard drive inventory to track drives used for production and post-production. I also keep an inventory of production notes from the field.

I produced, shot and edited short movies for the film’s “Ignite the Spark” promotional campaign. I imported and logged the footage.  I mixed and synced audio. I added graphics and effects. I uploaded my projects to the film’s YouTube page.  I also helped the editor for Reversing the Mississippi pick shots, provided advice on sequences for the film, and transcribed interviews.  Reversing the Mississippi is a social-action feature documentary highlighting people who are taking unique steps to make society more sustainable.

I imported video, organized media, created stringouts, and backed up projects.  I also mixed audio.  I added effects to sequences.  I edited projects from the assembly stage to final cut.  My projects included recutting scenes from the television shows ER and Lost using the original dailies.  I also edited a short documentary about Boston’s Urban Nutcracker show.

I worked closely with the editors to ensure the proper video made air. I gave them timecodes and media file information. I also downloaded media from ABC and CNN.

2011-Present

Short Movies, Editor and Videographer
I taught myself how to shoot and edit more than 30 short movies. I import my footage and log it.  I import and mix audio.  I also add visual effects and color correction.  I export and upload my projects to YouTube and Facebook.
